Description

These delightful puff pastry pockets are filled with gooey cheese, zesty garlic, and fragrant herbs, making them a perfect snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (like parsley, thyme, or whatever you have on hand)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into squares (about 4 x 4 inches).
  3. Combine the shredded cheese, minced garlic, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix it well so every bite is full of flavor.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  5. Fold the pastry over and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Whisk the egg and brush it over the tops of the pockets.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm as appetizers or snacks.

Notes

If you’re making these ahead of time, you can freeze them before baking. Just pop them in the oven straight from the freezer, adding an extra few minutes to the baking time.
