Description
A flavorful and satisfying one-bowl meal featuring tender steak marinated in a delicious Korean BBQ sauce, served over rice with vibrant vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup bell peppers (sliced)
- 1 cup carrots (julienned)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
- Green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create a lovely marinade.
- Marinate the steak in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak until it reaches your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Remove the steak and let it rest to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Stir-fry the bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli in the same skillet until tender but still crunchy, about 4-5 minutes.
- Serve the cooked rice in bowls topped with the sliced steak and stir-fried veggies.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the steak overnight. Customize your veggies and try not to overcook them.
